Active, Unheated Manuka Honey
At Futurebiotics, our rare manuka honey comes from New Zealand where beekeepers set up their hives in the middle of indigenous manuka groves and where there are no paved roads in order to reduce environmental contamination. The bees gather nectar from the flowers of the manuka bush, which blooms just six weeks of the year, instilling in the honey the unique characteristics of the plant, which includes an additional antibacterial manuka factor not found in any other honey. By definition, organic honey may not be pasteurized or heated to temperatures higher than normal hive temperatures, so our certified organic manuka honey is processed utilizing an exclusive freeze-drying technology that preserves the honey's enzymatic activity.

Acerola extract is produced from cherries grown near the rainforest in Brazil on certified organic small-plot orchards, handpicked at the optimum time when the color reveals their peak vitamin C content and stored at temperatures just above freezing to preserve their vital nutrients. In a proprietary process, the acerola cherries are gently concentrated in a cold-liquid extraction and then dried at low temperatures to protect the fragile heat and oxygen-sensitive vitamin C.
